Joel Brehm’s illustration of a nanotube to complement the research of electrical engineering professor Dr. Yongfeng Lu is a finalist in the International Science and Engineering Visualization Challenge. The National Science Foundation and the journal Science sponsor this competition, and winners are featured in the journal. Joel’s entry is in the Illustration category, which includes “traditional or computer-assisted illustrations and drawings produced to conceptualize the unseen or recreate an object, process or phenomenon (technique). Illustrations and drawings rely primarily on the created image to convey meaning.”
The competition winners will be announced later in November.
