An important topic of conversation in the last few ORED leadership team meetings has been a rise in stress levels among the staff. Especially in light of our new research goals for UNL, Liz Banset has been asked to facilitate some focus group discussions to get a better snapshot of the climate in ORED and hear your ideas for how we can continue to improve the climate, best position ourselves to meet our research goals, and, of course, remain the best place to work on campus.
We are scheduling nine opportunities for you to participate (without managers present) in this important discussion – either first thing in the morning or at lunch. We’ll provide breakfast or lunch and the sessions should last no more than 45 minutes. All discussions will take place in Alex 201.

- What are the best things about working in ORED?
- What roadblocks get in your way?
- What resources/assistance are available now to help you overcome roadblocks?
- What aren’t you getting that you need?
- What recommendations do you have for improving ORED to meet the institution’s five-year goals?
- What would it take to make/keep ORED the best place to work on campus?
