ORED represented at All-Staff Conference

The 2022 All-Staff Conference, held May 24-25, hosted more than 300 staff from across City, East and NIC campuses. Special thanks to the ORED staff members who were instrumental in coordinating and putting on the conference:

Research Development is the June Team Spotlight presentation

The June Team Spotlight presentation will be from Research Development. The presentation is on Friday, June 10, from 10-11 a.m. Registration in Bridge is now available and necessary to receive the meeting link and access to the recorded session.

July Team Spotlight, July 8 – Nebraska Innovation Studio

The ORED Team Spotlight is a response to the OPEN Forum where ORED team members explored big ideas. Staff determined that there is value in learning and understanding the work of each of the teams within the Office of Research and Economic Development. These presentations are scheduled on the second Friday of each month, beginning at 10 a.m. with remarks from Vice Chancellor Bob Wilhelm.

Juneteenth additional UNL floating holiday

In 2021, President Joe Biden declared Juneteenth – traditionally celebrated on June 20 – a national holiday. Rather than being closed for the holiday in June, UNL is adding Juneteenth to its list of floating holidays to be used during the Holiday Closedown at the end of the year. You can find the list of holidays and closures on the Human Resources Holiday/Closedown Schedule website.

The 2022 UNL Pay Calendar was originally released indicating a campus shutdown for Juneteenth, as the plans had not yet been determined. You can find an updated calendar here.
