The Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience (DCN) Lab is a grant-funded research facility. Research conducted in the lab centers around the investigation of cognitive development (executive control, learning, memory, and attention) from birth into the school years using developmental cognitive neuroscience paradigms. Studies consider both normative development and medical and environmental risk factors for sub-optimal cognitive development. Additionally, studies examine how differences in the development of cognitive skills affect children's emotion regulation, behavior, social relationships, and later academic skills.
