Student Research Slam<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The Student Research Days Slam is a campus-wide contest in which graduate, undergraduate students and post-docs from ALL DISCIPLINES are challenged to communicate their work in short, dynamic, engaging presentations, with a winner to be decided by the audience. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m., and the Slam competition will follow noon\u20131 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A two-part speaker series of workshops on research and innovation in agriculture features:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Session 1: 9:30-11:30 a.m.: Talks by plant breeder Klaus Koehler, recently retired from Corteva Agriscience; \u201cFrom Corn Breeding 1.0 to 4.0\u201d and \u201cThe Commercial Product Development Pipeline in Corn.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Session 2: 1-2:30 p.m.: Talks by plant scientist Todd Jones, recently retired from Corteva Agriscience; \u201cCorteva\u2019s Ag Accelerator Program\u201d and \u201cFrom Bench to Bin: Optimizing an Integrated Development Pipeline for GM and Gene-Edited Crops.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Target audience for the workshops is graduate students and post-docs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
