The earlier your proposal is finalized, the more comprehensive and supportive OSP\u2019s review can be in ensuring compliance and timely submission. <em>Please note that the level of review may also be affected by overall proposal volume, particularly near major deadlines.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What We Mean by \u201cReady for Review\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A proposal is considered ready for OSP review when:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A NuRamp form is routing for approvals (i.e. UNL budget template, budget justification, and draft narrative or scope of work)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All required sponsor documents are completed and uploaded to the sponsor submission system (a draft version of the narrative is acceptable)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7 or More Business Days Before Deadline<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Full Review<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Detailed budget and budget justification review<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review of sponsor-specific budget form(s)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Comprehensive review of required sponsor components, formatting, and subaward documentation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3-6 Business Days Before Deadline<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Intermediate Review<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Detailed budget and justification review<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review of sponsor-specific budget form(s)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Targeted review of required proposal components and subaward documentation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2 Business Days or Less Before Deadline*<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Minimal Review<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Budget and justification reviewed for institutional compliance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimal review of required proposal components<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confirmation of receipt of subaward documentation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>* Submission-focused \u2013 OSP will do its best to try and get the proposal submitted; however, under 2 business days we may not be able to:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Provide full institutional or sponsor compliance review<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Ensure completeness or correctness<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Planning Ahead for Complex Proposals<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are preparing a large or multi-institutional proposal, we encourage you to contact your <a href=\"https:\/\/research.unl.edu\/sponsoredprograms\/find-your-osp-contacts\/\">OSP Pre-Award Coordinator<\/a> as early as possible \u2013 ideally at the start of proposal planning.
