Two options are available:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>The GRT is offered online<\/em> through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.citiprogram.org\/\">Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative<\/a> (CITI) as a self-paced, web-based tutorial. All 9 modules within this course must be completed.\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Register if you are a new user| Already Registered? Click the\u00a0Login Button<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set up profile and affiliate with UNL<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cUniversity of Nebraska \u2013 Lincoln\u201d courses.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cInvestigators, Staff and Students, Basic Course\u201d is the required GRT course.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>GRT sessions are conducted by the IACP staff<\/em> at the beginning of each semester. Contact the IACP office (402-472-4486) for dates, times, and locations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Any employee or student involved in animal research must enroll in the Occupational Health and Safety program or have written consent to opt out of participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/go.unl.edu\/iacp_ohs_form\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Occupational Health and Safety form<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Facility-Specific Orientation and Training<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Please check with your designated animal housing facility manager for any additional orientations or facility access requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Anesthesia Training<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>All personnel in labs utilizing gas anesthesia at UNL are required to complete an online Anesthesia training.
