The Research Responsibility offices provide support for the review committees, but also serve as a resource for UNL faculty, students, and staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"http:\/\/research.unl.edu\/researchcompliance\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/research.unl.edu\/sandbox\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2015\/04\/IMG_0566-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"http:\/\/research.unl.edu\/researchcompliance\">Research Compliance, Integrity, and Security<\/a><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Research Compliance, Integrity, and Security (RCIS) administers oversight of human subjects research, conflicts of interest, export controls, research misconduct, research with human fetal tissue and embryonic stem cells, research security, and responsible conduct of research. RCIS also serves as the administrative office for the Institutional Review Board, the Scientific Research Oversight Committee, and the Conflict of Interest Committee.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"http:\/\/research.unl.edu\/researchresponsibility\/iacp\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/research.unl.edu\/sandbox\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2015\/04\/100622_Ag069-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"100622_Ag069\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"http:\/\/research.unl.edu\/researchresponsibility\/iacp\/\">Institutional Animal Care Program<\/a><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) oversees all aspects of animal use research, including protocol review and approval, animal facilities inspections and personnel training. The Institutional Animal Care Program (IACP) assists and coordinates IACUC activities and manages the Life Sciences Annex animal research facility.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"http:\/\/research.unl.edu\/researchresponsibility\/research-safety\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/research.unl.edu\/sandbox\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2015\/04\/hamilton1-300x198.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"http:\/\/research.unl.edu\/researchresponsibility\/research-safety\/\">Research Safety<\/a><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Environmental Health &amp; Safety (EHS), which reports to UNL&#8217;s vice chancellor for business and finance, oversees laboratory research safety.
