NURAMP workshops under way
The fall 2015 NURAMP (Research Administration Management Program) workshop series runs through early November. These workshops are free to UNL faculty, staff, postdocs and graduate students who conduct, support or administer research projects.
Dates, details and registration information are available on the NURAMP website. All workshops will be at the Whittier Research Center, 2200 Vine St., Room 152, unless otherwise noted. Some sessions also will be available online via Adobe Connect.
NURAMP is a comprehensive education program focusing on research administration management sponsored by the Office of Research and Economic Development. Remaining topics in the basic workshop series include working with Research Compliance Services and the Institutional Animal Care Program, and procedures for administering awards.
Remaining elective session topics are creating data management plans, managing contracts, communicating with the public about research; working with industry and commercializing research (to be held at Nebraska Innovation Campus); and using Grants.gov and FastLane to submit proposals electronically.
For faculty and grants administrative staff who apply for and receive NIH funding, two additional sessions will be offered Nov. 4 on NIH’s public access policy and on using NIH ASSIST.
NUgrant Basics workshops, offered Oct. 27 and Nov. 17, explain how to use NUgrant for routing proposals and filing IRB protocols. The IRB sessions are in the East Union Oct. 27 and the Nebraska Union Nov. 17.
