The Application for Request for Change is available in <a href=\"https:\/\/nugrant.unl.edu\" target=\"_blank\">NUgrant<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>All changes must be documented.<\/p>\n<p>Examples of <strong>minor changes<\/strong> with minimal risk to participants:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Change of telephone number(s)<\/li>\n<li>Addition\/deletion of staff<\/li>\n<li>Correction of typographical errors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Examples of <strong>major changes<\/strong> that don\u2019t require immediate implementation to reduce hazards to participants:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Changing the intervention, condition, or treatment<\/li>\n<li>Revising eligibility requirements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Examples of <strong>significant changes<\/strong> that require immediate implementation to decrease risk to participants and that require immediate disclosure to participants:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Addition of a major risk resulting from a reported adverse event<\/li>\n<li>Major changes enacted to reduce risk to participants<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/research.unl.edu\/researchcompliance\/forms-policy-and-guidance\/\">Detailed policies on changes in protocol<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Once research has been approved by the IRB, investigators must notify the Board of ANY changes in the original protocol.
