Please register here: <a href=\"https:\/\/research.unl.edu\/events\/event_nuramp.php?EMSEventUUID=30710f25-197b-47ab-989e-b890fb5b2b37\">https:\/\/research.unl.edu\/events\/event_nuramp.php?EMSEventUUID=30710f25-197b-47ab-989e-b890fb5b2b37<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please note, those who register before Feb. 1 will receive their workbook in person. Those who register on and after February 1 will receive their workbook following the workshop. The workbook is not needed for the workshop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This seminar is free for University of Nebraska-Lincoln faculty, postdoctoral research fellows and university staff. Faculty from other University of Nebraska campuses may attend but will be charged $150 to cover seminar costs. Participants not affiliated with the University of Nebraska are welcome to attend and will be billed approximately $200.&nbsp;This workshop is not open to graduate students.<br><br>The seminar comprehensively addresses both practical and conceptual aspects important to the proposal writing process, emphasizing:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul id=\"x_x_x_x_block-68f10962-a477-4623-a3b8-a45324f31730\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Idea development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identification of appropriate granting agencies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How to write for reviewers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven tips and strategies for presenting an applicant\u2019s case to reviewers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Faculty, staff and postdocs can select one of the seminar\u2019s four workbooks, depending on the source from which they plan to seek funding: National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation, U.S. Department of Agriculture, or a general version geared towards smaller funding agencies and foundations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Due to contractual restrictions, we are&nbsp;unable to record the Zoom workshop, and a recording will not be available&nbsp;after the sessions.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For more information,\u00a0contact\u00a0Lisa Kinkaid at <a href=\"mailto:lmaupin2@unl.edu\">lmaupin2@unl.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Office of Research and Innovation will offer its&nbsp;annual&nbsp;Write Winning Grant Proposals&nbsp;seminar in person on Friday, Feb. 19, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m., at the Willa Cather Dining Complex, Red Cloud Suite.&nbsp;Registration and continental breakfast will be 7:45-8:30 a.m. Registration will open November 1.
