When electrical engineer Yongfeng Lu submits a funding proposal, he\u2019s confident that it\u2019s been done right.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey (Office of Proposal Development staff) always spend a lot of time and effort on each proposal,\u201d says Lu. An expert in laser research, he frequently submits proposals to the National Science Foundation, the Department of Defense and the Department of Energy.<\/p>\n
He\u2019s sought OPD\u2019s help for each stage of development \u2013 from planning to meeting program requirements to proofreading. Proposal development coordinators also give him constructive feedback on how to write proposals that appeal to a variety of audiences without sacrificing the meaning of technical concepts. As a result, Lu says, more of his proposals are getting accepted.<\/p>\n
