The project team must deliver value, meet goals, communicate daily, and minimize risk, all under budget and on time to meet the agreed-upon scope and fulfill the sponsor&#8217;s expectations and requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Project managers play a significant role in supporting the day-to-day administrative management of the project. Project Management Office (PMO) project managers will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Manage the budget and procurement contracts, including those of subawardees.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide monthly financial reports tailored to fit the project team and sponsor needs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage stakeholder communication.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Solve issues as they arise.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain oversight of sponsor, federal, university, and state rules, regulations, and contractual terms and conditions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This allows the project team to maintain their focus on directing and managing the project&#8217;s scope and tasks, specifically in:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Managing the task workflows.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identifying and leading change management.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Delivering value and quality.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Directing and overseeing scientific compliance protocols.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Effectively training and mentoring the project team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Project execution is usually the longest and most demanding phase of a project.
