Nebraska Research Days is scheduled for November 11-15, 2024.  See the line up of events and register at Nebraska Research Days website<\/a>.  

Research and Innovation staff are invited to register now<\/a> for the farewell lunch for Interim Vice Chancellor Sherri Jones <\/strong>as she moves into phased retirement.  The farewell lunch will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Willa Cather Dining Complex, Red Cloud Suite.    <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nominate your colleagues – Invaluable Services Awards<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You have one week left (Nov. 4) to submit your nominations for the 2024 Vice Chancellor’s Invaluable Services Award <\/strong>via this form<\/a>. 

Each year, Research and Innovation gives special recognition to those who have made outstanding contributions to the past year’s successes. The Vice Chancellor’s Award for Invaluable Service is given to individuals who excelled in their work and demonstrated commitment to R&I’s mission. These staff members go above and beyond to support the values of leadership, innovation, and initiative as they provided exceptional service to clients and to the university.  Each award winner will receive a commemorative plaque and $250.     

Occasionally, an award is also given to individuals outside R&I to honor their impact on our efforts to achieve our goals. You can use the same form to nominate someone outside the Office of Research and Innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you have your bowling team lined up and name picked out?\u00a0 Save the date for the annual Research and Innovation Staff Recognition Event on Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 11:15-2:30 p.m. at Sun Valley Lanes and Games,\u00a0321 Victory Ln, Lincoln, NE 68528.\u00a0 Registration will be send out early in November. We eat, celebrate our hard work, bowl and win prizes.\u00a0 Start thinking about who you want to give a shout-out too with our tradition of kudos to colleagues.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

R&I Potluck – What will you bring?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Have you starting planning and testing your the food you will share in January at the annual Research and Innovation Potluck? Make sure Tuesday, January 14, 2025, 11:45-1:00 p.m. is held on your calendar!\u00a0 We will go through the food line in 152 Whittier and eat in 136 Whittier (Midwest Transportation training room).\u00a0 Registration will be sent out after holiday shutdown.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NUFlex Annual Benefits Enrollment and Health Risk Assessment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The 2025 NUFlex Benefits Enrollment and Health Risk Assessment began on Monday, October 28 and will run through Friday, November 15, 2024. You will be able to update your coverage selections as many times as you like during the enrollment period.
