ORED Staff Recognition Event – Reminder to Register<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The ORED Staff Recognition Event will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022, from 11:45-3:00 at Sun Valley Lanes, 321 Victory Lane. There will be awards, prizes, food, and fun.  Please RSVP<\/a> by the end of the day on December 7<\/em>, to let us know if you will be able to attend and if you wish to bowl.  We will need to know your shoe size if you are bowling, so your shoes can be waiting for you at your lane. Gather your team and create a team name as prizes are awarded for the best team name voted on by your peers. When you register to attend, you can choose your team (limit six bowlers per team\/lane). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Submit Kudos for Your Teammates<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

ORED team members are great at recognizing one another for their work and kudos are a foundation of our celebration. Submit your kudos<\/a> by end of the day on December 7<\/em> to have them included in the presentation at the event.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oshibana Nebraska is a collection of flowers and other botanicals grown in Nebraska that have been dried and pressed to create stunning pieces of art. Some natural elements have been picked from the wild, while others have been gathered from a garden.

Suzanne has a deep love of nature and the outdoors and began her journey as an artist by taking landscape photography. One day while taking a picture of some dried grass, she found herself wanting to preserve it just as was, because it was so beautiful. Two years later and after many hours spent picking, cleaning, drying and pressing all types of flowers and botanicals, she is ready to share some of her creations with the world.

Suzanne Spiehs<\/strong> is a NIC Partner and an administrative coordinator for UNL Industry Relations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Racial Equity Habit Building Challenge<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

ORED Learning and Development in partnership with the Office of Diversity and Inclusion’s #NCLUDE program will be facilitating a Racial Equity Habit Building Challenge from January – March 2023.  The format for the challenge is committing to attend a one-hour Zoom group discussion approximately every other week.  You will also be prompted to access readings, videos or other resources based on that week’s theme.  It should take approximately, one-two hours to read\/watch\/listen to the resource materials prior to the Zoom group discussion.     

The content was culled by CUPA-HR (College and University Professional Association for Human Resources) and UNL employees.  It is expected that you commit to attending each session as capacity is limited.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n
