She has a bachelor&#8217;s degree in Veterinary Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Nebraska\/Iowa State University Cooperative Program in Veterinary Medicine. During undergrad and a portion of veterinary school, Melissa was a student worker in the Life Sciences Annex gaining experience with research protocols and animals used in research and teaching missions. During her clinical year, she expanded on her interest in laboratory animal medicine by participating in multiple externships such as working with non-human primates at Charles River Laboratories as well as developing a fondness for anesthesia. started on July 5<\/strong><br>Becky has worked at UNL for the past 18 years, most recently as a Senior Human Resources Specialist at IANR Finance and Personnel.&nbsp; In her new role, she will support ORED&#8217;s organizational development initiatives to maintain and improve the overall culture of the organization.&nbsp; She will also be responsible for developing and sourcing training programs for campus staff and faculty involved in sponsored research.&nbsp; Becky lives with her husband, Todd, and two boys, Garret and Davis.&nbsp; Amelia served as the officiant and as maid of honor.&nbsp; The wedding was outdoors in the Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden with a blue grass band providing music.&nbsp; Menaka wore a sari that has been in the family for three generations. Among the various leadership positions held at the local level, Wilma has volunteered at national level activities involving youth in aviation. Her most memorable event as a volunteer occurred in 2015 as she witnesses her own son Derrick, then 16 years old, complete his solo flight at the North Central Region Powered Flight Academy. As a mother, it was nerve wracking, as a volunteer it was an accomplishment. &nbsp;&nbsp;<br><br>Civil Air Patrol, the official U. S. Air Force Auxiliary, is a civilian, volunteer, nonprofit, service organization. Its unpaid members perform more than 80 percent of inland search and rescue missions as tasked by the Air Force Rescue Coordination Center. Volunteers also take a leading role in aerospace education and conduct one of America&#8217;s finest youth programs, the Civil Air Patrol Cadet Program.&nbsp;In addition to aviation education, the Cadet Program offers youth an incredible opportunity to shape their lives, build character, and develop leadership skills they will need in their lives and careers.<br><br>The opportunities available to adults and youth in CAP abound. The local unit, 155th Composite Squadron will conduct an Open House <strong>Monday, August 8th<\/strong> at the <strong>Communications Building, Nebraska Air National Guard Base, at 2420 W. Butler Avenue in Lincoln, beginning at 6:30 pm.&nbsp; <\/strong>Membership is open to young people from ages 12 to 18 for the cadet program, and adults ages 18 and older for seniors.<br><br>For more information about the 155th Composite Squadron email Lt.
