NAEOP is focused on providing its members with professional growth opportunities through leadership, education, achievement, recognition and networking. NAEOP has nearly 2,200 members who are affiliated with 82 organizations in 28 states. Mary\u2019s term of service as NAEOP president will run from 2020 to 2021. Subsequently, she will serve as immediate past-president during 2021-2022. Congratulations, Mary! We are proud of the national-level leadership you provide to your profession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Staff encouraged to sign Cornhusker Commitment to combat COVID-19<\/strong><br>In his July 24 email to the university community, Chancellor Ronnie Green encouraged staff and faculty to voluntarily sign the Cornhusker Commitment, which is a pledge to protect yourself, other people and the Husker community through a set of actions related to COVID-19 prevention and mitigation. ORED staff are <a href=\"https:\/\/covid19.unl.edu\/cornhusker-commitment\">encouraged to sign<\/a> and support the campus community as we welcome students back to campus in August. All students will be asked to sign the pledge as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The university is also working to launch a testing site through a partnership with TestNebraska and the University Health Center. A designated site for testing will be established on campus. The home was built in 1914, but fully renovated in late 2019 to give a modern touch to a classic home &#8212; Molly was excited to re-home her 40+ house plants. They are excited to get plugged into a smaller community and for the slower pace of life. Burke starts kindergarten at Seward Public Schools next month, so the timing was right to make this move. First stop was a visit to a large animal wildlife sanctuary that had a three-mile roundtrip boardwalk above the animal compounds, then on to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, which is on the side of a mountain. We also took in Manitou Springs, the Royal Gorge and Estes Park. From our hotel in Colorado Springs you could see both the Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak. We carried what my family referred to as our COVID kit.&nbsp;All of our photos will have face masks, but so did the elk statue that was sitting outside the ghost town we visited.
