Update: VCRED Search <\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

After considering feedback from ORED and the broader University of Nebraska-Lincoln community, Chancellor Ronnie Green and Executive Vice Chancellor and Chief Academic Officer Donde Plowman invited two candidates for vice chancellor for research and economic development back to campus for longer conversations. The leadership team currently is making reference calls and is nearing a decision. ORED staff will be notified after an offer is extended and the candidate accepts.<\/p>\n

March 22-April 17, Spring NURAMP series<\/strong><\/p>\n

The NURAMP workshop series<\/a>, an educational series on research administration, begins soon. Thank you to the ORED presenters who share their expertise with faculty, postdocs, graduate students and staff members involved in research.<\/p>\n

March 23-25, SciComm 2018<\/strong><\/p>\n

The conference<\/a>, focused on clear and effective communication of science to the public, is on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus. Faculty, postdoctoral associates and students are encouraged to attend.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

March 26, Nebraska Lecture, \u201cOur Cather Heritage\u201d featuring Andrew Jewell<\/strong><\/p>\n

The spring lecture<\/a> is 3:30 p.m. in the Nebraska Union auditorium, with a reception following.<\/p>\n

KUDOS TO OUR COLLEAGUES<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The ORED Staff Recognition Lunch was Feb. 26 at Nebraska Innovation Campus. During the \u201cBackyard Barbeque at the ORED Corral,\u201d staff and affiliates were recognized for their contributions to research at Nebraska.<\/p>\n

These individuals received Vice Chancellor\u2019s Awards for Invaluable Service, which recognize contributions that go above and beyond expectations; demonstration of the values of leadership, innovation and initiative; and exceptional service to clients and the university.<\/p>\n
