Brad Roth, president and executive director of NUtech Ventures and associate vice chancellor for technology development at UNL, said the hub\u2019s programming builds on the university\u2019s existing startup ecosystem, particularly the Nebraska Introduction to Customer Discovery program, a campus entrepreneurship training initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is led by NUtech, the university\u2019s technology commercialization affiliate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"quote_paragraph\"><span class=\"fade_in_text\">\u201cOur ICD program includes large group training sessions<\/span><span class=\"fade_in_text\"> taught by NSF I-Corps-trained instructors, <\/span><span class=\"fade_in_text\">featuring interactive course content, <\/span><span class=\"fade_in_text\">group practices and other tools designed to help <\/span><span class=\"fade_in_text\">aspiring entrepreneurs evaluate the risks and rewards <\/span><span class=\"fade_in_text\">related to their business plans,\u201d Roth said.<\/span><span class=\"fade_in_text\"> \u201cWe want to set up our participants for success.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To date, N-ICD has drawn more than 180 participants and propelled three Husker teams to the national I-Corps program.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is part of a National Science Foundation hub aimed at moving university research into the real world.
