A University of Nebraska\u2013Lincoln physics team earned a $51 million National Science Foundation grant to lead the NSF-funded portion of the U.S. CMS Operations Program. Nebraska physicists helped develop the circular tracker in the center of the illustration. The tracker\u2019s cylinder is partially cut away to show a collision.
