Funding allows expansion of Nebraska Mesonet

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln added 21 weather stations to the Nebraska Mesonet network this year through $1.48 million in funding from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farm Service Agency and Lower Loup and Upper Elkhorn Natural Resources Districts.

A new thematic map depicting primary water rights systems across the U.S. has been developed by a collaborative team from the Daugherty Water for Food Global Institute, the National Drought Mitigation Center and the Department of Agricultural Economics, all at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
