Veterinary Services Permits colloquiumEnvironmental Health and Safety, in partnerships with the Office of Research and Economic Development, is hosting a campuswide Laboratory Safety Colloquium, Veterinary Services Permits, April 2, 10-11:30 a.m., in the Nebraska East Union.
The colloquium is designed for UNL principal investigators, research staff and graduate students who import and transfer from outside Nebraska: live animals, materials derived from animals or microorganisms associated with livestock. Registration is not required.
The workshop presenter is Kathleen Akin, D.V.M. and veterinary services assistant district director, U.S. Department of Agriculture-Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service. Akin will explain when a veterinary services permit is required, why permits are necessary and how to apply. An archived video of Akin’s presentation will be available on the EHS website a few weeks after the event.
