UNL research is on the move

Complete IACUC forms via NUgrant

NUgrant
UNL's Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) launched the new online Application to Use Animals Form (AUAF) submission process on Jan. 1. Investigators are required to use NUgrant to submit their AUAF forms. Hard copy or electronic Word file application forms are no longer accepted.

The NUgrant system tailors application questions to the investigator’s research, teaching or extension project, speeding the approval process. Principal investigator information is pre-filled and there's an option to duplicate carryover information from previous protocols. Drop down boxes also make it easier to complete forms.

The system incorporates electronic unit administrator approval, protocol review and the IACUC approval process. Annual review and modification submissions also are managed by the NUgrant system.

If you have questions about implementation of the NUgrant AUAF, annual review or modification notification process, contact Don Beermann, director of Institutional Animal Care Program and Research Compliance, at dbeermann2@unl.edu or Kathy Ellenbolt at kellenbolt2@unl.edu or call 472-4466.
