NBDC program geared to university startups

The Nebraska Business Development Center is offering a FastTrac TechVenture program that may be of interest to UNL faculty, staff and students.

This program provides the tools to help participants advance their technology venture, whether that involves seeking the last round of financing before going public or moving beyond the start-up stage. The program helps participants re-evaluate feasibility and create a business plan to communicate the opportunity to investors.

TechVenture offers technology and life science entrepreneurs the tools needed to start or refine their business. This course specifically targets the unique needs associated with a startup company generated from university research. This program will provide university faculty, students and other entrepreneurs with the tools to evaluate the opportunity and implement a business plan.

This first TechVenture program will begin Aug. 14 and runs from 5:30-8 p.m. for 10 weeks at The Entrepreneur Shop, 13006 West Center Road, Omaha. Cost is $750 including all materials. If enough UNL participants are interested, classes also could be offered in Lincoln during this time frame.
