Fall Nebraska Lecture features Fritz

Geoscientist Sheri Fritz will present UNL's fall Nebraska Lecture Nov. 1 at 3:30 p.m. in the Nebraska Union auditorium.

Fritz, a Willa Cather Professor in the Department of Geosciences and School of Biological Sciences, will present "Through Layers of Mud and Time: A Long-term Perspective on Environmental Change." She will describe how she and her colleagues use lake mud to reconstruct the history of climate change and to provide a long-term perspective on the environmental impact of human activities.

Her free public lecture is part of The Nebraska Lectures: Chancellor's Distinguished Lecture Series. The lectures feature distinguished UNL faculty, are designed for general audiences and provide insights about some of the university's leading research and scholarly activity. Lectures are sponsored by the Office of the Chancellor, the UNL Research Council and the Office of Research and Graduate Studies.
