Time for CITI refresher course?

It's time for some faculty and staff to complete the CITI (Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative) refresher course.

All key personnel at UNL involved with human subjects research must complete an initial CITI course. To remain certified, they must complete a refresher course every three years. This online course can be completed in 30-45 minutes, and a score of 75 percent is required. It's a good overview and shouldn't be difficult to complete.

Only people who have no responsibilities in project design and are not a UNL graduate student or faculty member are eligible for the limited research workers training option.

To access the training, go to the CITI Web site and enter the course site by providing your username and password. Next go to "Refresher Course" and complete the five modules: History and Ethical Principles; Regulations Overview; Fundamental Issues; Vulnerable Subjects; and Additional Topics.
