UNL hosting Big XII Sponsored Programs ConferenceMore than 150 higher education research administrators are expected to attend the Big XII Sponsored Programs Conference at Lincoln's Embassy Suites April 11-13.The UNL Office of Research is hosting the conference that will feature a variety of educational sessions, panel discussions and workshops ranging from research responsibility to organizational development. Research officials at Big XII and other colleges and universities across Iowa, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas will participate in the 31st annual conference. The keynote address will feature UNL geoscientists David Harwood and Richard Levy, who will discuss research and activities related to the 2008 International Polar Year. UNL leads a consortium of U.S. universities that make up the American half of the multinational ANDRILL (ANtarctic DRILLing) consortium, funded by the National Science Foundation.
