NUgrant training set for proposal routing module

Training sessions for an upgraded NUgrant module for proposal routing are planned for the last two weeks in April.

The NUgrant sponsored programs module for proposal routing has been redesigned and will be released April 25. The new module will allow users to see all information about a single project in one "project view," encompassing multiple years, awards or phases of a project. The sponsored programs module’s onscreen look and feel will more closely resemble that of other NUgrant modules. In addition, the module will be more interactive with other modules, enabling users to link a proposal to its compliance protocols.

The Office of Sponsored Programs will demonstrate the new NUgrant module on April 19 in identical presentations on East and City Campus: 10-11:30 a.m. in the Nebraska East Union and 1:30-3 p.m. in the Nebraska Union. Rooms will be posted. These demonstrations will provide a general overview of the new features and are open to anyone in the campus community. No registration is required.

Beginning April 20, a series of hands-on training sessions will be offered in Room 201 Alexander West, 14th and Q streets. Due to space limitations, these sessions will require pre-registration at http://research.unl.edu/events/osptraining/. The hands-on experience will be most useful if participants first attend one of the April 19 presentations.

Dates and times for hands-on sessions are:
April 20: 1-2:30 p.m. and 3-4:30 p.m.
April 21: 10-11:30 a.m. and 1-2:30 p.m.
April 22: 10-11:30 a.m. and 1-2:30 p.m.
April 25: 10-11:30 a.m.
April 26: 1-2:30 p.m.
April 27: 1-2:30 p.m.
April 28: 10-11:30 a.m.

Additional sessions may be scheduled, based on demand. Regular NUgrant training sessions will resume the final Wednesday of each month, 1-2:30 p.m., May-June and September-November.
