NIH SBIR conference starts June 30The Nebraska Business Development Center will host the National Institutes of Health's 11th annual Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer program national conference June 30 through July 1 at the Quest Center Omaha. The conference is designed primarily for small businesses, university researchers and entrepreneurs. It will offer information on NIH funding opportunities, how to seek funding, strategies for commercialization, university partnerships and the opportunity to meet with staff from NIH, the Centers for Disease Control and the Food and Drug Administration. "If you or someone you know has an innovation or technology that could improve health through biomedical and behavioral research and development, and you're looking for ways to raise capital to fund your efforts, you won't want to miss this event," said Lisa Tedesco, NBDC consultant. Researchers are invited to showcase their research at a poster session. Poster session goals and abstract requirements are available at the conference Web site. Registration is $125 until April 15 and $140 until June 15. On-site registration is available for $165.
