Information to enhance your success at UNL | UNL Office of Research | April 2009
NURAMP workshops under wayThe NURAMP (Research Administration Management Program) series is under way for UNL faculty, staff, postdocs and graduate students who conduct, support or administer research projects. These Office of Research workshops provide information on research regulations, policies and procedures, and access to resources and contacts for further assistance in managing research projects and programs. The spring series began March 31, but the sessions are designed to stand alone, so missing one or two workshops will not affect participation in others. Remaining workshops are offered weekly through May 19. Topics include proposal development strategies, creating proposal budgets, conducting research responsibly, receiving and administering an award and protecting intellectual property. Special sessions this spring focus on forms and requirements for using Grants.gov and the use of Personal Activity Reports (PARs) for effort reporting. Presenters will be experts from various units in the Office of Research: Sponsored Programs, Proposal Development, Research Responsibility, Technology Development and the vice chancellor's office. A schedule and registration information are available on the web. NURAMP also offers monthly workshops on submitting and routing proposals through NUgrant, UNL's secure electronic research administration system. Remaining spring sessions are April 29 and May 27. For more information contact Liz Banset, learning and development coordinator, Office of Research, ebanset1@unl.edu, 472-7003. |
