Strategic research cluster awards

The Office of Research recently awarded the following Strategic Research Cluster grants. The goal of this initiative is to foster and enhance the competitiveness of interdisciplinary research groups at UNL whose research targets an area in which there is an opportunity for obtaining competitive federal funding. Recipients are:

Synthesis of Fatty Acid Analogs. Principal investigator Patrick Dussault, chemistry; co-principal investigators Ji-Young Lee and Timothy Carr, nutrition and health sciences.
Nebraska Gateway to Nutrigenomics Initiative. Co-principal investigators Janos Zempleni and Timothy Carr, nutrition and health sciences.
