Intellectual Property

210x315

Intellectual property issues in research involve the proper designation of ownership and transfer (e.g., patent, copyright, licensure) of ideas, inventions, products/devices, and other research outputs of university faculty and staff. The University of Nebraska Statement of Policy on Proprietary Rights in the Intellectual Products of Faculty Activity describes the institution and faculty/staff responsibilities and rights regarding intellectual property ownership, development, and exploitation, including proper procedures for faculty/staff and institution cooperation.
