The Center for Brain, Biology and Behavior (CB3) is an interdisciplinary research center that provides state-of-the-art brain imaging equipment and salivary bioscience services within its research core. The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Facility features a Siemens Skyra 3 Tesla MRI scanner; capabilities for simultaneous use of a high-density electroencephalography (EEG) system and eye tracker; and an MRI simulator, which mimics the sounds and experience of an MRI scan to help prepare some populations, such as children, for a real MRI. The Salivary Bioscience Laboratory (SBL) is equipped to assay biospecimens, specifically saliva, for biomarkers of stress response and immune function.
