Development of portable and miniaturized analytical systems; theory and development of chromatographic-based immunoassays; characterization of chemical interactions in biological and environmental systems by HPLC and capillary electrophoresis; use of affinity-based extraction with HPLC and LC/MS; chiral separations of biological and environmental agents; development of separation methods for microconstituents and emerging contaminants in water.
