NU FEWS Scoping Workshop
February 10, 2016 | Nebraska Innovation Campus Conference Center (2021 Transformation Drive, Lincoln, NE 68508)
About the NU FEWS Scoping Workshop
The Scoping Workshop represents the second phase of the NU FEWS initiative, a campus-wide process for generating innovative project concepts and organizing research teams focused on the opportunities emerging through the federal priority focus on Innovations at the Nexus of Food, Energy and Water Systems (INFEWS). This one-day, all-of-campus event will be facilitated by Knowinnovation and is designed to bring together faculty from diverse disciplines to generate interesting research questions at the FEWS nexus.
During the workshop, three nationally-recognized experts will help set the stage and challenge our thinking about INFEWS. Participants will then spend the day generating and discussing research questions. The workshop will conclude with a vote on the most interesting of these research questions, which will subsequently serve as the basis for one or more “Jumpstart” events — the third and final phase of NU FEWS.
