Grantwriting Seminar

The Office of Research is pleased to host the upcoming grant writing seminar, "Write Winning Grants," March 12, 2010, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Nebraska Union auditorium.  Registration begins at 8 a.m. Lunch is included. The seminar is presented by Grant Writers’ Seminars and Workshops, LLC.

The seminar comprehensively addresses both practical and conceptual aspects important to the proposal writing process. Emphasis is given to such things as:
  • idea development
  • identification of appropriate granting agencies
  • how to write for reviewers
  • tips and strategies of proven value in presenting an applicant's case to reviewers
The UNL Office of Research hosts this seminar each year primarily for UNL faculty. However, if there is room, other UNL staff, post-doctoral research fellows and graduate students are welcome to attend without charge.

We welcome participation from UNMC, UNO and UNK faculty, staff and graduate students, but to cover seminar costs, will charge a $150 fee for non-UNL participants. If you are not affiliated with UNL, please check to see if your department will pay the fee for you. You can bring payment with you the day of the seminar or have your department provide a cost object number to which we can charge the fee. We'll be in touch with you about methods of fee payment.
